Connor Hannon fires two goals, Houghton puts the squeeze on shooters to win

Houghton handed a loss to Hancock 6 - 2 at SDC Houghton on Saturday. Houghton outscored Hancock four to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Houghton gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Houghton kept the lead for the win.

In well played offense, Connor Hannon scored two goals for Houghton in addition to three helpers. Houghton's Raymond Brice scored two goals for Houghton. Spencer Donnelly and Hunter Rajala each contributed one goal for Houghton.

Racking up saves in the box, Houghton's Jayson Wiitala blocked 25 out of 27 shots on goal to earn the win.

Adding to their victory, Houghton was 2-for-7 on power plays. Hancock was 0-for-8.

Houghton added to their current win streak of three games and ended up with a record of 17-4. Hancock finished the game with a record of 4-7.
