Grand Blanc Defeats Fenton 4-1

LOGAN ROTHLEY nets a goal as Grand Blanc puts the squeeze on shooters to prevail

Grand Blanc triumphed over Fenton 4 - 1 at Polar Palace on Wednesday. Grand Blanc chalked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Both teams added one goal in the second period but Grand Blanc kept the lead for the win. The Grand Blanc defense took over in the final period. In the final period Grand Blanc scored two goals improving its score and winning the game.

In the first period, Grand Blanc got things going when MASON WALKER lit the lamp with 11:23 left in the period. WYATT GRAHN and TYLER SLY assisted on the goal. Grand Blanc never looked back. In the second period, Grand Blanc found more success on the ice when TYLER SUTTON put the puck between the pipes with assists from TIM HASSELBACH and JACK CLARY, with 4:13 left on the clock, expanding their lead. In response, Fenton's Fenton scored a goal. In the third period, Grand Blanc replied when GRIFFEN SEQUIN lit the lamp with assists from JACK CLARY and TIM HASSELBACH, with 16:25 left on the clock, to pull further ahead. Continuing the roll, LOGAN ROTHLEY put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance with 5:40 left in the period, to move further ahead.

LOGAN ROTHLEY, TYLER SUTTON, MASON WALKER, and GRIFFEN SEQUIN each tallied one goal for Grand Blanc. JACK CLARY had two points. TIM HASSELBACH got two assists. SLY and GRAHN each tallied one assist for Grand Blanc.

Grand Blanc's PHILIPPE BENCHLEY made nine saves to earn the win.

Fenton finished the game with a record of 0-6.
