North Region: Teddy Randall, Junior Forward, Hancock

Teddy Randall led the defending State Champions to a 5-0-0 December. Randall was a force scoring 3 goals and 13 assists to help Hancock end the month as the #2 team in Division 3. Randall will lead Hancock into a huge game on Friday, January 6 when they host the (#1 in D1) Brighton Bulldogs.

Honorable Mention: Brent Loukus (So. Forward, Calumet), Jacob Kruse (Sr. Forward, Houghton)

 

South Region: Logan Neaton, Senior Goaltender, Brighton

Logan Neaton was a stonewall for the Bulldogs, leading Division 1's best to a 5-0-0 December. Neaton would post two shutouts over KLAA rivals (#7 in D2) Livonia Stevenson and South Lyon. Neaton posted a 1.20 goals against average and a .940 save percentage to help Brighton stay atop Division 1. Neaton and the Bulldogs will travel to the UP to take on (#2 in D3) Houghton on Friday, January 6.

Honorable Mention: Ethan St. Pierre (Jr. Goaltender, Ann Arbor Huron), Samuel Millman (Sr. Forward, Ann Arbor Pioneer)

 

Central Region: Conor Witherspoon, Senior Forward, Flint Powers Catholic Central

Conor Witherspoon and Flint Powers Catholic Central remained perfect on the season as they went 6-0-0 in December. Witherspoon scored 6 goals and 9 assists to lead Flint Powers to victories over Grand Rapids Catholic Central, (#6 D3) Forest Hills Central, Divine Child, (#5 D1) Orchard Lake St. Mary's, (#6 D1) U of D Jesuit, and Saginaw Heritage. Conor Witherspoon and Flint Powers will be back in action tonight (Wednesday, January 4) when they take on Bay City.

Honorable Mention: Sam Spaedt (Sr. Forward, Saginaw Heritage), Austin Kantola (Sr. Defenseman, Howell)

 

West Region: Zach Currie, Senior Forward, Forest Hills Central

Zach Currie was on fire in December scoring 8 goals and 9 assists in Forest Hills Central's seven games. Currie would lead FHC to a 5-1-1 record finishing 2016 ranked 6th in Division 3. Forest Hills Central will hit the ice on Friday, January 6 for their first game of 2017 as they face-off against Grand Rapids Catholic Central.

Honorable Mention: Mitch Kihm (Sr. Goaltender, Kalamazoo United), Benjamin Forstner (Jr. Forward, East Grand Rapids)

 

Metro East Region: Adam Pitters, Senior Forward, Grosse Pointe South

Adam Pitters is a big reason for the Blue Devils success in December. Pitters scored 7 goals and 6 assists to lead Grosse Pointe South to a 5-1-1 record in December. Pitters had two assists in Grosse Pointe South's 2-1 win over Division 2's best Brother Rice. Pitters and the Blue Devils will host Divine Child on Friday, January 6.

Honorable Mention: Michael Rittner (Sr. Forward, Rochester United), Jordan Guske (Sr. Forward, Anchor Bay)

 

Metro West Region: John Doyle, Senior Forward, Livonia Churchill

John Doyle was on fire in December scoring 8 goals and 14 assists in Livonia Churchill's 6 games. The Chargers went 5-1-0 in December with their only loss coming to the (#1 D1) Brighton Bulldogs. Doyle scored a hat trick in Churchill's 4-3 loss to Brighton. Doyle and the Chargers travel to Howell tonight (Wednesday, January 4) to take on the Howell Highlanders.

Honorable Mention: Brendan Olepa (Jr. Goaltender, Plymouth), Josh Albring (Sr. Forward, Hartland)

 

Metro North Region: Jack Clement, Senior Defenseman, Brother Rice

Jack Clement led the Brother Rice Warriors to a 6-1-0 record allowing them to claim the top spot in Division 2. Clement scored 6 goals and 10 assists as Brother Rice defeated Port Huron Northern, (#8 D2) Trenton, (#5 D1) Orchard Lake St. Mary's, (#2 D2) Hartland, (#9 D1) Northville, and (#4 D1) Cranbrook. Brother Rice will host Port Huron Northern on Thursday, January 5.

Honorable Mention: Robert Kowalczyk (Sr. Goaltender, Notre Dame Prep), Thomas Hernandez (Sr. Forward, Warren DeLaSalle)

 

Metro South Region: Jordan Cormier, Junior Forward, Trenton

Jordan led the Trojans to a 4-2-1 record in December. The junior forward scored 6 goals and 6 assists in 7 games as the Trojans would finish the month ranked 8th in Division 2. Jordan and the Trenton Trojans will hit the ice on Wednesday, January 11 to take on Wyandotte.

Honorable Mention: Jarod Potasnik (Jr. Goaltender, Allen Park), Blake Petterle (Jr. Defenseman, Grosse Ile)
