Saturday December 14th is High School Hockey Day in Michigan. This date is a celebration of high school hockey in the state of Michigan; an event that has been a staple in the calendar for the past six seasons.

There are 55 games scheduled for Saturday, with 110 of the 138 programs in the state slated to be in action, according to The Hub.  Among some of the key events taking place on Saturday is the Adam Mitchell KLAA/MIHL Showcase in Livonia, featuring all teams from the KLAA and MIHL conferences. Also, the D3 Showcase takes place in Gaylord, featuring some of the top D3 teams from throughout the state.
