Chelsea, MI — Team Michigan is proud to announce its coaching staff for the upcoming CCM National Invitational Tournament, set to take place in Plymouth, Minnesota from April 23-26, 2026. Don Wright, Team Michigan’s General Manager has appointed three accomplished coaches to lead the team’s high school hockey elite as they compete on a national stage.
Micah Stipech – Senior Team Head Coach
Micah Stipech will serve as Head Coach for Team Michigan’s Senior squad. Stipech, currently at the helm of Houghton High School, made an immediate impact by guiding his team to the final four in his first year. Over his seven years as Houghton’s assistant coach, he contributed to five Regional Titles and two State runner-up finishes. Stipech’s coaching record also includes two seasons as Assistant Coach at Finlandia University, along with extensive junior hockey scouting experience in the NAHL, AJHL, and currently the BCHL. His previous Team Michigan experience includes two years as HP18 assistant and leading the senior team last year. Notably, Stipech was head coach of the Split Season Team Copper Country, guiding them to back-to-back USA Hockey National Championships (18U AA) in 2017 and 2018.
Ryan Ossenmacher – Junior/HP 18 Team Head Coach
The Junior/HP 18 Team will be guided by Ryan Ossenmacher, the current Northville High School Head Coach. Ossenmacher previously led Salem High School and, this spring, was inducted as the 31st member of the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame. With a Team Michigan coaching tenure dating back to 2013, he has served as a head coach eight times, including steering the 2023 CCM NIT Championship team to victory.
Keith Robertson – Sophomore/Freshman Team Head Coach
Keith Robertson will take the reins as Head Coach for Team Michigan’s Sophomore/Freshman squad. Now in his second year as head coach at Howell High School, Robertson delivered instant results by taking the Highlanders to the Division 1 State Finals in his debut season. He previously served as an assistant at Howell and spent ten years helping to develop competitive teams at Stevenson High School in Livonia. Last year, he contributed as an assistant coach for the HP-18 team and as a Team Michigan player evaluator.
Team Michigan is proud to have these outstanding coaches leading its athletes at the CCM NIT Tournament, where the nation’s top high school players will compete. The tournament showcases elite talent from states such as Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, providing an exceptional opportunity for skill development and competitive excellence.
