In overtime, Wyandotte Roosevelt got the better of Traverse City St. Francis 3 - 2 at Big Rapids on Friday. Traverse City St. Francis scored two goals to take the lead in the first period. Wyandotte Roosevelt did not take the lead in the second period even though they scored one goal. Traverse City St. Francis was up two to one, but the final period would turn the tables on them. Wyandotte Roosevelt began their comeback with one goal in the third period to tie the score at two and force a decision in OT. In the overtime, Wyandotte Roosevelt scored one unanswered goal to win in the end.
Nate Wilson and Theo Noffsinger each added one goal for Traverse City St. Francis.
Despite having a huge impact in the game, Traverse City St. Francis's Jay Jones made 45 saves for the loss.
This was the first game of the season for both Traverse City St. Francis and Wyandotte Roosevelt.
