Brownstown Woodhaven defeated Gibraltar Carlson 7 - 2 at Allen Park Civic Center on Friday. Brownstown Woodhaven outscored Gibraltar Carlson two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Both teams racked up one goal in the second period but Brownstown Woodhaven held on to the lead for the win. Gibraltar Carlson were not able to answer back. In the final period Brownstown Woodhaven scored four straight goals improving its score and winning the game.

Brownstown Woodhaven's Matt Faremouth scored two goals for Brownstown Woodhaven. Brownstown Woodhaven's Dominic Moore got two goals for Brownstown Woodhaven. Alex Robinson, Billy Brock, and Mike Williams each contributed one goal for Brownstown Woodhaven.

Displaying a golden glove, Brownstown Woodhaven's Trevor Monaco finished with 19 saves to take the win.

Adding to their victory, Brownstown Woodhaven was 1-for-7 on power plays.

This was the season opener for Gibraltar Carlson but Brownstown Woodhaven entered the game with a record of 1-1.
