In a shutout game, Warren DeLaSalle beat Traverse City West 5 - zero at Centre Ice on Friday. Warren DeLaSalle tallied up four unanswered goals to take the lead in the first period. Warren DeLaSalle gained one unanswered goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Traverse City West were not able to answer back. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Warren DeLaSalle conserved its lead, and was the winner.

Traverse City West's Carter Edmondson had just 18 saves on 23 shots and got the loss.

This was the season opener for both Traverse City West and Warren DeLaSalle.
