Trent Bravata on fire with the hat trick as East Kentwood strong on the ice to win big

Leaving their opponents in the dust, East Kentwood beat Lowell/Caledonia 10 - 2 at Kentwood Ice Arena on Saturday. East Kentwood racked up three straight goals to take the lead in the first period. In the middle period, East Kentwood outscored Lowell/Caledonia four to one and kept the lead. In the final period, East Kentwood outscored their opponents by two goals and kept the lead to win the game.

Having an outstanding day for East Kentwood, Trent Bravata made the hat trick with four goals and also had one assist. Bravata netted a shorthanded goal. Kevin Seo got the assist on this goal. During the third period, Bravata put the puck in the net for a power play goal. Tyler Layle and Alex Birkman got the assists on this goal. East Kentwood turned up the pressure when Bravata put the puck between the pipes for a shorthanded goal in the third period with an assist from Cam Morris. Steaming onward, Bravata put the puck between the pipes for a power play goal in the third period. Noah Baldwin assisted on this goal. East Kentwood's Austin Adams netted two goals for East Kentwood. During the first period, Adams got a goal with an assist from Adam Goudelock. East Kentwood was in control from then on. Adams put the puck between the pipes. Brendan VanSweden got the assist on this goal. Brendan VanSweden, Jake Gale, Noah Baldwin, and Tyler Layle each added one goal for East Kentwood.

East Kentwood's Zack Casavant blocked 15 out of 17 shots on goal to get the win.

This was the first game of the season for Lowell/Caledonia but East Kentwood entered the game with a record of 1-1.
