Michael Pelino knocks two goals as Rochester United clamps down to get a victory

Rochester United defeated Painesdale Jeffers 7 - 2 at Dee Stadium on Saturday. Rochester United tallied up one goal to take the lead in the first period. In the second, Rochester United outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead. Rochester United never looked back. In the final period Rochester United scored three goals cementing the lead and winning the game.

Having a huge day, Michael Pelino made two goals for Rochester United and also two helpers. During the first period, Pelino put the puck in the net for a shorthanded goal. Brent Boudreau assisted on this goal. This sealed Rochester United's victory. Rochester United pierced the defense when Pelino got a second goal in the second period. Ryan Bradley assisted on this goal. Jimmy Pittel, Nick Marek, Max Harper, Kevin Kurzeja, and Evan Asuncion each tallied one goal for Rochester United.

Rochester United's Brody Blair turned away 18 shots to earn the win.

Adding to their victory, Rochester United went 3-for-3 on power plays. Painesdale Jeffers went 0-for-5.
