BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL clamps down to win and shut down the other side

In a shutout game, BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL was superior against Calumet Copper Kings 8 - zero at Wallace Ice Arena on Saturday. BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL racked up five goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL gained three straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. The BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL defense took over in the final period. With both teams scoreless in the third period, BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL conserved its lead, and was the winner.

Two goaltenders were used by Calumet Copper Kings for the loss. Calumet Copper Kings's Troy Pierce blocked 15 out of 18 shots on goal. Calumet Copper Kings's Brian Rogers had just 14 saves on 19 shots to get the loss.

Adding to their victory, BH Cranbrook Kingswood MIHL went 1-for-2 on power plays. Calumet Copper Kings was 0-for-2.
