In a lopsided victory, Freeland/Nouvel/Valley got the better of Haslett 10 - 2 at Suburban Ice Arena on Saturday. Freeland/Nouvel/Valley outscored Haslett three to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. In the middle period, Freeland/Nouvel/Valley outscored Haslett seven to one and kept the lead. Freeland/Nouvel/Valley never looked back. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Freeland/Nouvel/Valley held on to its lead, and was the winner.
Having an outstanding day for Freeland/Nouvel/Valley, Josh Koepplinger netted the hat trick with four goals and also three helpers. Freeland/Nouvel/Valley's Chantz Graham netted two goals for Freeland/Nouvel/Valley and also had one helper. Cam Cianek, Austin Popour, Ben Rybicki, and Joe Rybicki each added one goal for Freeland/Nouvel/Valley.
Freeland/Nouvel/Valley's Brandon Hausbeck had eight saves for the win.
