In a tightly contested game, Waterford Mott won against Walled Lake Western 7 - 5 at Lakeland Arena on Saturday. Walled Lake Western outscored Waterford Mott three to two to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. As the second period unfolded, Waterford Mott outscored their opponents by three goals and took away the lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Waterford Mott kept the lead for the win.

Leading the way to a win for Waterford Mott, Austin Sereno got the hat trick with three goals and also two points. Todd Bonnivier, Max Vancil, Ben Clemence, and Chase Sereno each added one goal for Waterford Mott.

Waterford Mott's Scott Koenigbauer had just 16 saves on 21 shots to take the win.

Walled Lake Western suffered their first loss and finished the game with a record of 0 wins and 1 loss.
