Luke Braun nets the hat trick as Birmingham Unified scores five goals in the first, goes on to win handily

In a lopsided victory, Birmingham Unified triumphed over Sterling Hgts Stevenson 11 - 4 at Great Lakes Sports City on Monday. Birmingham Unified outscored Sterling Hgts Stevenson five to two to take the lead at the end of the first period. As the second period unfolded, Birmingham Unified scored two goals to Sterling Hgts Stevenson's one and kept the lead. In the final period, Birmingham Unified outscored Sterling Hgts Stevenson four to one and kept the lead to win the game.

Having a huge impact in the game for Birmingham Unified, Luke Braun scored the hat trick with three goals. Braun put the puck between the pipes. Tommy Mcleod and Kenny Ohanlon assisted on this goal. During the first period, Braun got another goal with an assist from Kenny Ohanlon. Birmingham Unified could not overcome this deficit. During the first period, Braun scored another goal with assists from Tommy Mcleod and Kenny Ohanlon. Turning in a great performance for Birmingham Unified, Adam Susalla made the hat trick with three goals and also had one point. Susalla scored a goal. Zach Tayler and Michael Madigan assisted on this goal. Birmingham Unified turned up the pressure when Susalla put the puck between the pipes in the second period with an assist from Jason Bitker. Susalla scored a third goal with an assist from Kevin Kristopik. Tommy Murray, Tommy Mcleod, and Kenny Ohanlon each added one goal for Birmingham Unified.

Birmingham Unified used two goaltenders in their win. Having a standout day, Birmingham Unified's Jacob Saroli stopped 14 out of 15 shots. Birmingham Unified's Alex Hackert had 12 saves on 15 shots to gain the win.

Contributing to their win, Birmingham Unified went 1-for-3 on power plays. Sterling Hgts Stevenson went 0-for-2.
