Ken Forton impresses with two goals while Petoskey shines on defense to get a huge victory

In a rout, Petoskey prevailed over Fenton 9 - 1 at Griffin on Friday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. Petoskey took the lead in the second period with three unanswered goals. In the final period, Petoskey outscored their opponents by five goals and kept the lead to win the game.

Petoskey's Ken Forton netted two goals for Petoskey. During the second period, Forton put the biscuit over the goal line. Derek Smith got the assist on this goal. Forton got a second goal. Skye Pieffer assisted on this goal. Skye Pieffer, Brandon Pomranke, Tanner Davis, Kevin Hansen, Luke Pomranke, Bryndon Worden, and Derek Smith each added one goal for Petoskey.

Petoskey's Michael Whittaker stopped nine shots for the win.

Contributing to their win, Petoskey went 1-for-2 on power plays. Fenton was 0-for-1.

Petoskey continued their current win streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. Fenton finished the game with a record of 0-2.
