Grand Haven chalked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. East Kentwood took over the lead in the second period with two unanswered goals. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but East Kentwood kept the lead for the win.

In the first period, Grand Haven made it happen on the ice when Grand Haven scored a goal. In the second period, in reply, East Kentwood's Alex Birkman lit the lamp with 16:12 left on the clock. Jake Gale got the assist on the goal, to make the score even. East Kentwood fired up their game when Tyler Layle put the biscuit over the goal line with 14:35 left on the clock.
