Mitchell Parsons impresses with a goal, Grandville a defensive stronghold to get a victory

Grandville defeated West Ottawa 5 - 1 at Georgetown Ice Arena on Saturday. Grandville tallied up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Both teams added one goal in the second period but Grandville held on to the lead for the win. The Grandville defense took over in the final period. In the final period Grandville scored three consecutive goals improving its score and winning the game.

Ryan Fischer scored one goal for Grandville and also had one assist. Corbin Emery got one goal for Grandville and also had one helper. Mitchell Parsons, Brenden Cassell, and Jake Blok each contributed one goal for Grandville. Noah Weigle made two assists. Brandon Rozema got two points. Lippert added one assist for Grandville.

Displaying a golden glove, Grandville's Sean Schmeiser stopped 18 shots to gain the win.

Grandville now has a record of 4-3. West Ottawa ended the game with a record of 0 wins and 2 losses.
