Zach Mitchell scored the game winner with 7:16 left in overtime, as Saline Metro beat Southgate Anderson 4 - 3 at Ann Arbor Ice Cube on Monday. Saline Metro outscored Southgate Anderson two to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Saline Metro added one unanswered goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Southgate Anderson added two consecutive goals in the third period to tie the score at three and force the game into overtime. In the overtime, Saline Metro scored one unanswered goal to win in the end.

Zach Mitchell, Antonio Diaz, Grant Ellis, and Michael Phillips each contributed one goal for Saline Metro.

Showing a super performance, Saline Metro's Chris Krueger finished with 37 saves to get the win. Southgate Anderson's Trevor Presnell turned away 21 shots to suffer the loss.

Saline Metro ended their streak of three losing games and improved to a record of 2-4. Southgate Anderson finished the game with a record of 5-2.
