Noah Brayton leads the way with two goals while Rockford goes on the defensive to win and allow no scoring from the other side

In a shutout game, Rockford won against Big Rapids 5 - 0 at Ferris State University on Saturday. Rockford scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. Rockford added three unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Rockford never looked back. In the final period Rockford scored one goal cementing the lead and winning the game.

Rockford's Noah Brayton scored two goals for Rockford. Trevor Mills, Blake Erhart, and Stephen Shira each added one goal for Rockford.

Leading the way to a shutout for Rockford, Jake Rekucki stopped 19 out of 19 shots to gain the win.

Big Rapids ended the game with a record of 0-6.
