Leaving their opponents in the dust, Cheboygan beat L'Anse 8 - 1 at Cheboygan on Thursday. Cheboygan racked up two straight goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Cheboygan outscored L'Anse three to one and kept the lead. Cheboygan never looked back. In the final period Cheboygan scored three unanswered goals adding to the margin of victory and winning the game.

L'Anse's Jason Rank had only 29 saves on 37 shots on goal and got the loss.
