Matt Bederka hits two goals and Brownstown Woodhaven scores five goals in the first, goes on to get a win on the road

Brownstown Woodhaven beat Southgate Anderson 8 - 5 at Southgate on Saturday. Brownstown Woodhaven outscored Southgate Anderson five to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. In the middle period, Southgate Anderson outscored Brownstown Woodhaven four to one however Brownstown Woodhaven kept its lead. Brownstown Woodhaven never looked back. In the final period Brownstown Woodhaven scored two straight goals cementing the lead and winning the game.

Brownstown Woodhaven's Matt Bederka made two goals for Brownstown Woodhaven and also had one point. During the first period, Bederka got a goal. Billy Brock assisted on this goal. Piling on, Bederka Bederka got a second goal with assists from Eric Long and Jacob Swindle. In well played offense, Eric Long made two goals for Brownstown Woodhaven and also two points. Things got going when Brownstown Woodhaven's Long put the biscuit over the goal line in the second period. Mike Perry assisted on this goal. During the third period, Long netted a second goal with an assist from Jake Hernandez. Billy Brock, Cody Hastings, Adam Pettit, and Mike Williams each contributed one goal for Brownstown Woodhaven.

Two goaltenders were used by Brownstown Woodhaven to get the win. Brownstown Woodhaven's Steven Hurley had just 14 saves on 19 shots to take the win. Displaying a golden glove, Brownstown Woodhaven's Trevor Monaco had seven saves on seven shots. Southgate Anderson's Chris Dusik had just 36 saves on 44 shots to suffer the loss.

Brownstown Woodhaven added to their current win streak of three games and ended the game with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses. Southgate Anderson ended the game with a record of 5-3.
