In overtime, DeWitt was superior against Monroe St. Mary CC 4 - 3 at Ice Box on Friday. Neither team managed to score in the first period. In the second, the ice was finally broken when DeWitt outscored their opponents by one goal and took the lead. In the third, Monroe St. Mary CC outscored DeWitt 2 to 1 to tie things up and send the game into OT. In the overtime, DeWitt scored one unanswered goal to finally get the win.

Monroe St. Mary CC's Joseph Qualey turned away 24 shots and got the loss.

This was the season's first game for DeWitt.
