Shutting out their opponents, Saline SEC won against Monroe 8 - 0 at Monroe Ice Arena on Tuesday. Saline SEC racked up three goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Saline SEC added four unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Monroe were not able to answer back. In the final period Saline SEC scored one goal adding to the margin of victory and winning the game.

In well played offense, Zach Mitchell got two goals for Saline SEC as well as two assists. Getting started, Mitchell Mitchell put the biscuit over the goal line with assists from Michael Savage and Grant Ellis. During the third period, Mitchell put the puck in the net. Michael Savage assisted on this goal. Tyler Palka, Antonio Diaz, Spencer Derksen, Michael Savage, Adam Haas, and Grant Ellis each added one goal for Saline SEC.

Adding to their victory, Saline SEC went 2-for-6 on power plays. Monroe was 0-for-5.

Monroe finished the game with a record of 0-5.
