Drake Gentile shoots a goal while Clarkston relies on defense to get a narrow win on the road

Alex Propson netted the game-winning goal with 9:11 left in the first period, as Clarkston handed a loss to Grand Haven 4 - 2 at Edge Ice Arena on Saturday. Clarkston racked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the middle period, Clarkston outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Clarkston kept the lead for the win.

In the first period, Clarkston put points on the board with their game when Alex Propson lit the lamp with an assist from John Foust, with 9:11 left in the period. This put Clarkston ahead for good. In the second period,, pulling further ahead. Clarkston took advantage of the power play when Carter Rea got the puck in the goal with assists from Adam Johns and Matt Denny with 1:39 left on the clock, to get further in the lead. In the third period, Clarkston kept up the momentum when Drake Gentile lit the lamp without assistance, with 13:51 left on the clock, pulling further ahead.

Drake Gentile, Jacob LaPorte, Alex Propson, and Carter Rea each added one goal for Clarkston. Johns and Foust each added one assist for Clarkston.

Having a standout day, Clarkston's Jack Viazanko finished with 32 saves to earn the win.

Clarkston moves to a record of 7-7. Grand Haven ended the game with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses.
