Brownstown Woodhaven Shuts Down Saline Metro 8-0

Billy Brock hits two goals, Brownstown Woodhaven strong on the ice to win and shut down the other side, extends winning streak to 7 games

In a shutout game, Brownstown Woodhaven won against Saline Metro 8 - zip at Ice Box on Saturday. Brownstown Woodhaven tallied up two straight goals to take the lead in the first period. Brownstown Woodhaven added three unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Brownstown Woodhaven never looked back. In the final period Brownstown Woodhaven scored three goals piling on and winning the game.

Brownstown Woodhaven's Billy Brock made two goals for Brownstown Woodhaven and also had one point. Paving the way for Brownstown Woodhaven, Brock Brock put the biscuit into the net for a power play goal with assists from Mitch Cannon and Mike Williams. Brownstown Woodhaven turned up the pressure when Brock Brock lit the lamp with assists from Matt Bederka and Alex Robinson. Eric Long, Vinny Vassallo, Blaise Varady, Trevor Kowalczyk, Matt Bederka, and Mike Williams each tallied one goal for Brownstown Woodhaven.

Two goalies were used by Saline Metro for the loss. Saline Metro's Alex Colarossi stopped 18 out of 22 shots. Saline Metro's Chris Krueger had 14 saves on 18 shots and got the loss.

Brownstown Woodhaven added to their current win streak of six games and ended up with a record of 12-3. Saline Metro finished the game with a record of 2-6.
