Austin Azzopardi shoots a goal, Macomb Dakota puts the squeeze on shooters to win and prevent opponents from scoring, extends winning streak to 13 games

In a shutout victory, Macomb Dakota prevailed over Marysville 3 - zero at Mt. Clemens on Saturday. Macomb Dakota racked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Macomb Dakota retained its lead. It would prove to be too much for Marysville. In the final period Macomb Dakota scored two goals piling on and winning the game.

In the first period, Macomb Dakota made it happen on the ice when Brad Scanlon got a goal with assists from Billy Karvounis and Anthony Piccirilli, with 10:17 left on the clock. Marysville could not overcome this deficit. In the third period, adding another score for Macomb Dakota, Billy Karvounis put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Brad Scanlon, with 15:45 left in the period, adding to their lead. Looking past the blue line, Macomb Dakota's Austin Azzopardi put the puck in the net without assistance with 1:15 left on the clock, going further ahead.

Billy Karvounis netted one goal for Macomb Dakota and also had one assist. Brad Scanlon got one goal for Macomb Dakota and also had one assist. Austin Azzopardi tallied one goal for Macomb Dakota. Piccirilli tallied one assist for Macomb Dakota.

Having a perfect day, Macomb Dakota's Anthony Benvenuti blocked 13 out of 13 shots on goal to get the win.

Macomb Dakota added to their current win streak of 12 games and ended the game with a perfect record of 13-0. Marysville finished the game with a record of 0 wins and 4 losses.
