Skye Pieffer netted the game winner with 2:32 left in the third period, as Petoskey was superior against TDB 4 - 3 at Griffin Arena on Saturday. TDB racked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second period, Petoskey outscored TDB two to one and tied for the lead. The end of the second period saw both teams at two goals a piece. In the third period, Petoskey outscored their opponents by one goal and took the lead to claim the late win.

Petoskey's Skye Pieffer scored two goals for Petoskey. Making it happen on the ice for Petoskey, Pieffer put the puck in the net in the second period with assists from Tom Crampton and Ken Forton. Continuing their roll, Pieffer put the puck between the pipes in the third period. Derek Smith and Tanner Davis assisted on this goal. Petoskey could not overcome this deficit. Mike Forton and Tanner Davis each contributed one goal for Petoskey.

Petoskey's Breanna Merriam had 23 saves to get the win.
