Zak Segard hits a goal as Grandville shuts down shooters to get the narrow win on the road

In a close game, Grandville beat GR Catholic Central 4 - 2 at GR Edge 100th St on Friday. GR Catholic Central tallied up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Both teams racked up one goal in the second period but GR Catholic Central held on to the lead. GR Catholic Central was up two to one, but this wouldn't last. Grandville rallied in the final period with three goals, to grab the win.

Zak Segard scored one goal for Grandville in addition to two assists. Brandon Rozema scored one goal for Grandville and also had one assist. Brenden Cassell and Matt Shultz each tallied one goal for Grandville. Fischer, Houtman, and Weigle each added one assist for Grandville.

Jeff Gorski netted one goal for GR Catholic Central and also had one point. Jacob Klapko made one goal for GR Catholic Central and also had one assist.

Racking up saves in the box, Grandville's Sean Schmeiser stopped 21 out of 23 shots for the win. GR Catholic Central's Thomas Murray blocked 22 out of 26 shots on goal to get the loss.

Grandville extended their winning streak to three games and now has a record of 7-7. GR Catholic Central finished the game with a record of 2-8.
