Skye Pieffer nails a goal, Petoskey effective on defense to get the narrow win

In a hard fought match up, Petoskey overcame Traverse City St. Francis 3 - 2 at Centre Ice Arena on Saturday. Traverse City St. Francis scored one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second, Petoskey outscored their opponents by one goal and tied for the lead. The second period ended with both teams at two goals all. Petoskey took the lead in the third period with one goal and won the game.

Skye Pieffer got one goal for Petoskey and also had one point. Ken Forton made one goal for Petoskey and also had one assist. Derek Smith added one goal for Petoskey. Davis tallied one assist for Petoskey.

Trevor Apsey got one goal for Traverse City St. Francis and also had one helper. Travis Kirk contributed one goal for Traverse City St. Francis.

Having a standout day, Petoskey's Michael Whittaker had 28 saves to take the win. Traverse City St. Francis's Jay Jones made 10 saves to get the loss.

Petoskey continued their current win streak of two games and now has a record of 10-7. Traverse City St. Francis ended the game with a record of 7-11.
