Macomb Dakota Shuts Door On Chippewa Valley 9-0

John Kochanski is key with two goals and Macomb Dakota puts the squeeze on shooters to win the shutout

In a shutout game, Macomb Dakota prevailed over Chippewa Valley 9 - zero at Mt. Clemens on Saturday. Macomb Dakota tallied up three unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Macomb Dakota gained six goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Macomb Dakota's defense shut down Chippewa Valley for the rest of the game. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Macomb Dakota protected its lead, and was the winner.

Macomb Dakota's John Kochanski netted two goals for Macomb Dakota. During the second period, Kochanski put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Chad Roskelly. Macomb Dakota fired up their game when Kochanski Kochanski lit the lamp with an assist from Brad Scanlon. Macomb Dakota's Brad Scanlon made two goals for Macomb Dakota and also had one point. Macomb Dakota's Scanlon put the biscuit over the goal line for a shorthanded goal in the second period with an assist from Billy Karvounis. During the second period, Scanlon put the puck between the pipes for a power play goal. Billy Karvounis and Shawn Eastman got the assists on this goal. Matt Riehl, Sammy Shaheen, Billy Karvounis, Ronnie O'Connor, and Chad Roskelly each contributed one goal for Macomb Dakota.

Turning in a perfect performance, Macomb Dakota's Justin Dudzinski had 12 saves for the win.

Macomb Dakota continued their current win streak of 14 games and ended the game with a unblemished record of 15-0. Chippewa Valley ended the game with a record of 0 wins and 4 losses.
