BRENDAN O'MALLEY gets the hat trick and Walled Lake Central out defends to get the victory

Walled Lake Central finished off Swartz Creek 6 - 3 at Farmington Hills Ice Arena on Wednesday. Walled Lake Central and Swartz Creek both scored one goal to end the first period tied. In the middle period, Walled Lake Central scored three goals to Swartz Creek's two and took the lead. The Walled Lake Central defense took over in the final period. In the final period Walled Lake Central scored two goals piling on and winning the game.

Having an outstanding day for Walled Lake Central, BRENDAN O'MALLEY made the hat trick with three goals. Putting their initial points on the board, O'MALLEY netted a power play goal in the first period with assists from GRAHAM SECHRIST and RILEY DUNNING. During the second period, O'MALLEY lit the lamp without assistance from team mates. During the third period, O'MALLEY put the biscuit over the goal line for a power play goal with an assist from GRAHAM SECHRIST. ERIC ROSTECK, DREW KOCOVES, and DAN SUSZEK each contributed one goal for Walled Lake Central.

Walled Lake Central's SAM WOZNICKI stopped 22 out of 25 shots to earn the win.

This was the first game for Swartz Creek but Walled Lake Central entered the game with a record of 7-4.
