Houghton Outscores Kingsford Flivvers 6-2

Raymond Brice leads the way with two goals while Houghton allows few shots to get a victory

Houghton defeated Kingsford Flivvers 6 - 2 at Dee Stadium on Thursday. Houghton scored three goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Kingsford Flivvers failed to take the lead in the second period even though they scored one goal. In the last period, Houghton outscored their opponents by two goals and kept the lead to win the game.

Houghton's Raymond Brice netted two goals for Houghton and also had one assist. Houghton's Brice netted a goal in the first period with an assist from Casey Markham. During the third period, Brice put the puck between the pipes with assists from Tristan Foltz and Spencer Donnelly. Connor Hannon, Spencer Donnelly, Casey Markham, and Jed Kallio each contributed one goal for Houghton.

Houghton's Marcus Gloss blocked 16 out of 18 shots on goal to earn the win. Kingsford Flivvers's Westley Paupore had only 32 saves on 38 shots on goal to get the loss.

Despite losing Kingsford Flivvers was 1-for-3 on power plays, while Houghton was 0-for-0.

Houghton ended the game with a record of 13-3. Kingsford Flivvers ended the game with a record of 1 win and 2 losses.
