Cam Givens smashes a hat trick, Traverse City Central strong on the ice to come up with the shutout win on the road, raises string of wins to 5 games

In a shutout game, Traverse City Central finished off Petoskey 8 - zero at Griffin Arena on Friday. Traverse City Central racked up two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Traverse City Central added four straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Petoskey. In the final period Traverse City Central scored two goals improving its score and winning the game.

Showing strong scoring ability, Cam Givens made the hat trick with three goals in addition to two assists. In well played offense, Cooper Macdonell scored two goals for Traverse City Central as well as four assists. Buddy Rose, Nico Saco, and Reily DeTar each contributed one goal for Traverse City Central.

Two goalies were used by Traverse City Central to get the win. Showing off a strong glove, Traverse City Central's Bill Vermetten finished with eight saves for the win. Displaying a golden glove, Traverse City Central's Michael Wittersheim stopped two shots.

Contributing to their win, Traverse City Central went 1-for-4 on power plays. Petoskey was 0-for-3.

Traverse City Central added to their current win streak of four games and ended up with a record of 17 wins and 2 losses. Petoskey finished the game with a record of 9 wins and 8 losses.
