Jason Newel knocks a goal, Salem relies on defense to edge out their opponents

In a hard fought match up, Salem was superior against Brighton 3 - 2 on Saturday. Salem and Brighton both scored one goal to end the first period tied. Both teams scored one goal in the second period and remained tied. The second period ended with both teams at two goals each. Salem added one goal in the third period to break the tie and take the lead, grabbing a late victory.

Jason Newel, Noah Willer, and Steven Homrich each contributed one goal for Salem. Jake Sealy made two helpers. Fedel and Zultowski each contributed one assist for Salem.

Salem's Parker Godfrey made 18 saves for the win.

Salem went 2-for-7 on power plays.

Salem added to their current win streak of three games and ended up with a record of 10 wins and 6 losses. Brighton suffered their first loss and ended the game with a record of 6-1.
