Northville a defensive stronghold to get a victory on the road

Defenses ruled the day when Northville beat Farmington 2 - 1 at Farmington Hills Ice Arena on Saturday. Neither team managed to get the puck in the net in the first period. Northville gained one goal in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Northville kept the lead for the win.

In the third period, Farmington got things going on the ice when Nick Gensheimer put the puck between the pipes with assists from Cooper McLean and Grant Newton with 12:15 left on the clock for Farmington.

Nick Gensheimer contributed one goal for Farmington.

Despite racking up saves in the box, Farmington's John Lethemon blocked 29 out of 31 shots on goal to suffer the loss.

Northville ended their losing streak of two games and ended up with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses. Farmington finished the game with a record of 4 wins and 8 losses.
