ANDREW WOOD shoots two goals while Walled Lake Central strong on the ice to achieve victory

Walled Lake Central won against Walled Lake Northern 4 - 1 at Lakeland Ice Arena on Saturday. Walled Lake Central scored two unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Walled Lake Central gained two goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Walled Lake Northern failed to take the lead in the third period even though they scored one goal, and ended up losing the game.

In the first period, coming through for Walled Lake Central, CONNOR JEFFRIES put the puck between the pipes with assists from DREW KOCOVES and ERIC ROSTECK, with 11:37 left on the clock. This sealed Walled Lake Central's victory. Walled Lake Central brushed off the penalty kill when ERIC ROSTECK got a goal with assists from RILEY DUNNING and JERRET HAAS with 6:52 left on the clock, to get further ahead. In the second period, Walled Lake Central picked apart the penalty kill when ANDREW WOOD put the biscuit over the goal line with assists from MATT ROSTECK and ERIC ROSTECK with 11:20 left in the period, to go further ahead. Walled Lake Central turned up the pressure when WOOD again netted another goal with 3:34 left on the clock. JERRET HAAS got the assist on the goal, to pull further ahead. In the third period, Walled Lake Northern returned fire when Walled Lake Northern scored a power play goal.

Having an impact in the game, ANDREW WOOD netted two goals for Walled Lake Central. ERIC ROSTECK got one goal for Walled Lake Central in addition to two helpers. CONNOR JEFFRIES tallied one goal for Walled Lake Central. JERRET HAAS earned two helpers. DUNNING, KOCOVES, and ROSTECK each contributed one assist for Walled Lake Central.

In the crease, Walled Lake Central's SAM WOZNICKI had zero saves to gain the win.

Walled Lake Central now has a record of 9-4. Walled Lake Northern finished the game with a record of 4-5.
