Nick Sicinski shoots a hat trick, Traverse City St. Francis shuts down shooters to get a narrow win

In a hard fought match up, Traverse City St. Francis handed a loss to Manistee 5 - 3 at Centre Ice Arena on Friday. Traverse City St. Francis tallied up three unanswered goals to take the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Manistee outscored their opponents by one goal however Traverse City St. Francis kept its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Traverse City St. Francis kept the lead for the win.

Leading the way to a win for Traverse City St. Francis, Nick Sicinski netted the hat trick with three goals and also had one helper. Deryk Henderson and Zach Hill each contributed one goal for Traverse City St. Francis.

Traverse City St. Francis's Claire Huhta made 14 saves to take the win.

Manistee ended the game with a record of 0-8.
