Cam Givens shoots a hat trick, Traverse City Central a defensive stronghold to win and shut down the other side on the road

Shutting out their opponents, Traverse City Central beat Petoskey 8 - zero at Griffin Arena on Friday. Traverse City Central chalked up two goals to take the lead in the first period. Traverse City Central gained four unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Traverse City Central never looked back. In the final period Traverse City Central scored two unanswered goals improving its score and winning the game.

Turning in a great performance for Traverse City Central, Cam Givens netted the hat trick with three goals and also had one assist. In an excellent performance, Cooper Macdonell scored two goals for Traverse City Central and also two helpers. Buddy Rose, Nico Saco, and Reily DeTar each contributed one goal for Traverse City Central.

Two goaltenders were in the crease for Traverse City Central's win. Having a huge impact in the game, Traverse City Central's Bill Vermetten had 12 saves for the win. Turning in a perfect performance, Traverse City Central's Michael Wittersheim stopped two shots. In goal, Petoskey's Breanna Merriam got no saves.
