A Player fires a hat trick, St. Clair shoots often to get the win, ends string of losses

St. Clair prevailed over Troy Athens 10 - 5 at Onyx Ice Arena on Saturday. St. Clair racked up four unanswered goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, St. Clair scored four goals to Troy Athens's three and kept the lead. Both teams scored two goals in the third period but St. Clair kept the lead for the win.

Leading the way to a win for St. Clair, A Player earned the hat trick with 10 goals. Things got going when St. Clair's Player lit the lamp without assistance with 15:46 left in the first period. With 15:19 left to play in the first period Player scored an unassisted goal. With 9:39 left to play in the first period Player put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance. During the first period, with 2:02 left Player scored an unassisted goal. During the second period, with 12:17 left Player scored another goal without any assistance. With 8:04 left to play in the second period Player netted an unassisted goal. With 6:16 left to play in the second period Player put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance for a shorthanded goal. With 4:57 left to play in the second period Player scored a 8th goal without any assistance. With 16:22 left to play in the third period Player scored an unassisted goal. During the third period, with 4:31 left Player netted an unassisted goal.

St. Clair's A Goalie had just 27 saves on 32 shots to take the win. Troy Athens's Jeff Merola had just 41 saves on 51 shots to suffer the loss.

Despite losing Troy Athens went 3-for-10 on power plays, while St. Clair was 0-for-0.
