Swartz Creek scores go ahead goal in overtime to outlast on the road

In overtime, Swartz Creek beat Pinckney 5 - 4 at Arctic Coliseum on Friday. Pinckney tallied up three goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Swartz Creek outscored Pinckney three to one however Pinckney kept its lead. Pinckney was on top four to three, but there was a lot more game to be played. Mounting a comeback, Swartz Creek went to work and evened up the score in the third period with one goal sending the game into OT. In the overtime, Swartz Creek scored one unanswered goal nabbing the victory.

Two goaltenders were in the crease for Pinckney's loss. Despite a super performance, Pinckney's Justin Karamon finished with 23 saves to get the loss. Pinckney's Shane Polich stopped 17 shots.

Despite losing Pinckney was 1-for-3 on power plays, while Swartz Creek was 0-for-5.

Swartz Creek ended their losing streak of two games and now has a record of 1-2. Pinckney ended the game with a record of 8-8.
