Shutting out their opponents, Farmington beat Utica 8 - zip at Onyx Ice Arena on Saturday. Farmington chalked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Farmington gained four straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Utica were not able to answer back. In the final period Farmington scored three straight goals padding its lead and winning the game.

Having a huge impact in the game for Farmington, Nick Heffron scored the hat trick with three goals. Having a huge day, Drake Cole scored two goals for Farmington as well as two assists. Cooper McLean, Nick Kozoro, and Austin Meltzer each added one goal for Farmington.

Farmington moves to a record of 6-8. Utica finished the game with a record of 0-2.
