Howell strong on the ice to prevail in a close game

Brett Dudansky netted the game-winning goal with 0:01 left in the second period, as Howell won against Berkley Unified 3 - 2 at Chelsea Arctic Coliseum South rink on Monday. Berkley Unified tallied up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Howell took over the lead in the second period with two goals. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Howell kept the lead for the win.

In the first period, Berkley Unified put points on the board when Joey Leider put the puck between the pipes with 5:48 left on the clock. Max Dooley and Ian Melrose got the assists on the goal. In the second period, Howell responded when Kevin Miloser put the puck between the pipes with assists from Nick Stanko and Casey O'Doherty, with 15:04 left on the clock, to make the score even at 1 apiece. Howell found more success on the ice when Brett Dudansky scored a goal with an assist from Keegan Schafer, with 0:01 left on the clock, moving into the lead. Howell never looked back. In the third period, picking apart the penalty kill, Alex Egan put the puck between the pipes with assists from Casey O'Doherty and Nick Pratt with 4:42 left in the period, expanding their lead. Pushing back, Berkley Unified's Zach Segall lit the lamp with assists from Gianni Bonello and Shane Goldberg, with 4:32 left in the period.

Howell ended the game with a record of 8-10. Berkley Unified finished the game with a record of 16-5.
