Lapeer West beat L'Anse Creuse 5 - 2 at Arctic Coliseum on Tuesday. Lapeer West racked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, L'Anse Creuse outscored Lapeer West two to one to tie things up. The second period closed with both teams at two goals each. Lapeer West took the lead in the third period with three consecutive goals and won the game.

This was the season opener for Lapeer West.
