Winning by a large margin, Houghton beat Kingsford Flivvers 9 - 3 at Mountain View Ice Arena on Tuesday. Houghton outscored Kingsford Flivvers four to two to take the lead at the end of the first period. Houghton gained four straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Houghton kept the lead for the win.

Leading the way to a win for Houghton, Jonathan Bostwick got the hat trick with four goals and also had one assist. Having a great day, Jed Kallio scored two goals for Houghton and also three assists. Connor Hannon, Austin Erva, and Raymond Brice each added one goal for Houghton.

Houghton's Jayson Wiitala turned away 13 shots to earn the win. Kingsford Flivvers's Westley Paupore had only 61 saves on 70 shots on goal and so suffered the loss.

Houghton ended up with a record of 15 wins and 4 losses. Kingsford Flivvers ended the game with a record of 1-4.
