Dexter Beats Out Avondale 4-1

Dexter puts the squeeze on shooters to prevail

Dexter won against Avondale 4 - 1 at Arctic Coliseum on Wednesday. Dexter scored two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Dexter added one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Dexter kept the lead for the win.

In the first period, Dexter's Drew Glapa put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Joey Barlett, with 16:30 left in the period. This put Dexter ahead for good. Adding another score for Dexter, Tristan Rojeck scored a goal with 3:08 left on the clock. Patrick Gronvall got the assist on the goal, to move further ahead. In the second period, steaming onward, Dexter's Patrick Gronvall got a goal with 3:08 left in the period. Tristan Rojeck got the assist on the goal, expanding their lead. In the third period, scoring again for Dexter, Tristan Rojeck put the puck in the net with an assist from Patrick Gronvall with 11:14 left on the clock, expanding their lead. Avondale fired back when Luke Senkowski put the puck between the pipes with assists from Eric Gadzinski and Paul Miriani with 8:45 left in the period.

Dexter now has a record of 6-6. Avondale finished the game with a record of 4-10.
