Berkley Unified out defends to prevail

Berkley Unified finished off Walled Lake Central 5 - 1 at Chelsea Arctic Coliseum North rink on Wednesday. Berkley Unified scored two unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Berkley Unified gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. In the last period, Berkley Unified outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead to win the game.

In the first period, Berkley Unified put points on the board with their game when Joey Leider scored a goal with 14:08 left in the period. Keith Waldrup assisted on the goal. Berkley Unified never lost the lead after that. Berkley Unified kept going when Ian Melrose netted a goal with 5:35 left on the clock. Joey Leider assisted on the goal, to move further ahead. In the second period, Berkley Unified kept up the momentum when Zach Segall scored a goal with assists from Gianni Bonello and Curtis Carne, with 10:50 left in the period, to move further ahead. In the third period, rolling on, Berkley Unified's Max Dooley got a goal with 7:42 left in the period. Joey Leider and Robby Flannery assisted on the goal, to get further in the lead. Walled Lake Central answered back when ERIC ROSTECK lit the lamp without assistance with 4:47 left in the period. Answering back, Berkley Unified's Joey Leider put the puck in the net with an assist from Gianni Bonello, with 0:15 left in the period, to pull further ahead.

Walled Lake Central ended the game with a record of 10-5.
