Petoskey handed a loss to Freeland/Nouvel/Valley 5 - 2 at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena on Friday. Petoskey tallied up two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second period, Petoskey outscored Freeland/Nouvel/Valley two to one and kept the lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Petoskey kept the lead for the win.

Skye Pieffer, Brandon Pomranke, Cam Ludlow, Kevin Hansen, and Bryndon Worden each added one goal for Petoskey.

Petoskey's Michael Whittaker finished with 10 saves for the win. Two goaltenders were used by Freeland/Nouvel/Valley for the loss. Despite a super performance, Freeland/Nouvel/Valley's Brandon Hausbeck turned away 11 shots. In goal, Freeland/Nouvel/Valley's Andre Danek got no saves on four shots.

Petoskey continued their current win streak of four games and ended the game with a record of 11 wins and 5 losses. Freeland/Nouvel/Valley ended the game with a record of 16-3.
