Nick Vandermissen hits two goals as Escanaba Eskymos scores five goals in the second, goes on to prevail in a close game

Derek Chaillier scored the game-winning goal with 9:17 left in the second period, as Escanaba Eskymos beat Chelsea 6 - 5 at Arctic Coliseum on Saturday. Chelsea scored one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second, Escanaba Eskymos outscored their opponents by four goals and took away the lead. In the third period Chelsea outscored their opponents by two goals however Escanaba Eskymos kept its lead, and won the game.

Escanaba Eskymos's Nick Vandermissen made two goals for Escanaba Eskymos and also had one helper. During the second period, Vandermissen lit the lamp without assistance. During the second period, Vandermissen put the puck in the net for a power play goal. Ben Lasecki and Jake Eastin got the assists on this goal. Escanaba Eskymos's Jake Eastin netted two goals for Escanaba Eskymos. Coming through for Escanaba Eskymos, Eastin lit the lamp in the second period with an assist from Derek Chaillier. During the third period, Eastin netted another goal. Nick LeMire assisted on this goal. Levi Wunder and Derek Chaillier each added one goal for Escanaba Eskymos.
