In a tightly contested game, Saginaw Heritage beat Traverse City St. Francis 5 - 4 at Kennedy Ice Arena - Trenton on Friday. Saginaw Heritage and Traverse City St. Francis both scored two goals to end the first period tied. Saginaw Heritage took the lead in the second period with three goals. Traverse City St. Francis failed to take the lead in the third period even though they scored two consecutive goals, and ended up losing the game.
Traverse City St. Francis's Jay Jones had just 18 saves on 23 shots and got the loss.
Traverse City St. Francis finished the game with a record of 9-12.
