Trenton effective on defense to get a narrow victory

In a hard fought match up, Trenton beat Calumet Copper Kings 3 - 2 at Kennedy Ice Arena on Friday. Calumet Copper Kings racked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Trenton tied the score in the second period with one goal. The end of the second period saw both teams at one goal all. In the third period, Trenton scored two goal to Calumet Copper Kings's 1 and took the lead to claim the late win.

Contributing to the game for Calumet Copper Kings, Brendan Jacques scored two goals for Calumet Copper Kings.

Showing off a strong glove, Calumet Copper Kings's Troy Pierce had 35 saves on 38 shots and so suffered the loss.

Trenton extended their winning streak to four games and ended up with a perfect record of 4-0. Calumet Copper Kings ended the game with a record of 12-8.
